Health & Safety
How MedRemind supports your health schedule, and our clinical disclaimer regarding medication management.
Clinical Framing
MedRemind is designed to improve treatment adherence by giving users a visual timeline, smart reminders, and stock warnings. We believe that visual feedback on adherence levels empowers patients to understand their health routines better and facilitates more accurate communication with their care teams.
Medical Disclaimer
Please read this disclaimer carefully before using the MedRemind mobile application or landing website. By accessing or using the app, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Not Medical Advice: MedRemind is an information technology tool and schedule assistant. It does not provide professional medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or clinical decisions.
- No Substitutions: The app should not be used as a replacement for the advice of a qualified physician, pharmacist, or healthcare professional. Always review prescription guidelines on original labels before logging or taking dosages.
- Reminder Reliability: While we optimize background notifications, mobile OS battery management, hardware updates, or silent mode settings can occasionally delay alerts. Do not rely solely on MedRemind for critical, life-sustaining medication schedules. Always maintain a secondary schedule or verification method.
- Data Integrity: The information you log in MedRemind is provided by you. If you show adherence logs to a physician or clinician, verify the logs are complete and accurate before doing so.
Guidelines for Safe Use
To maximize the clinical effectiveness of MedRemind, we recommend the following practices:
- Verify medication names, strengths (e.g., mg, mcg), and schedule intervals when entering them into the database.
- Double-check pill quantities when setting up Stock alerts to ensure warnings trigger before you run completely dry.
- Adjust your notifications settings to "Priority" in your OS to bypass temporary "Do Not Disturb" profiles if appropriate.
- Discuss your adherence logs (available in the PDF export) with your primary physician during routine visits to review treatment performance.
