How do I fix notifications not arriving on Android?

Android devices often use aggressive battery saving systems that can suspend background services. To ensure you receive alarms on time:

  • Go to Settings > Apps > MedRemind.
  • Tap Battery or Battery Optimization.
  • Change the setting to Unrestricted or disable optimization for MedRemind.
  • Make sure notifications are enabled for the app and your device is not in a Do Not Disturb mode that blocks app notification sounds.
Does MedRemind require an active internet connection?

No, MedRemind is built to work fully offline. All your schedules, doses, logs, and stock levels are saved securely in your device's local database. Reminders will fire even if you don't have cellular reception or Wi-Fi. Sync is only used if you sign in and choose to backup your data to the cloud.

How do I manage my medication stock levels?

When creating or editing a medication:

  • Enable the Track Stock toggle.
  • Enter your current quantity (e.g., 60 pills) and specify your refill alert threshold (e.g., alert when 10 pills are left).
  • Every time you log a dose as "Taken," MedRemind automatically deducts the pill amount from your remaining stock.
  • Once the stock falls to or below your threshold, you will receive a daily notification reminder to refill.
How do I export my reports for my physician?

Go to the Reports tab in the app. Here, you can review your adherence logs. Tap the Export PDF button at the top right to compile a formatted calendar summary of all your taken and skipped doses, which can be printed or emailed directly to your clinical provider.

How do I request account deletion?

You can request full deletion of your account and sync data at any time. Go to our Account Management Page and follow the step-by-step instructions to delete your cloud profile and wipe your database.
